Born in Slough, Christian Wade started playing rugby at RGS High Wycombe before joining the Wasps youth set up as a teenager.
One of the most exciting young players in England in 2011/12, Christian had a brilliant season, when despite missing three months with injury, he finished the season as the second highest try scorer in the Premiership with nine in 15 games. The season ended on a high for Christian with selection for England's tour in South Africa.
Christian had an impressive 2012/13 season. He finished as joint top try scorer alongside teammate Tom Varndell with 13 tries in the Aviva Premiership and made history by being the first player to ever be awarded both the RPA Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.
Christian was rewarded for his form and was called up into the England senior squad for their two test tour of South America during the summer where he won his first cap against Argentina. After the first test Christian was called up as an injury replacement into the British and Irish Lions squad - a huge accolade for the youngster.
2013/14 was disappointing for the youngster after such a successful summer. Wade made 10 appearances and had scored five tries before an injury against London Irish in November ended his season. After eight months of rehabilitation, the flying winger was back in form and ready to take on the 2014/15 season.
His rehabilitation paid off as Wade had a fantastic 2014/15 season. Christian was named in the BT Sport Team of the year, after he beat 62 defenders and scored 14 tries.
Injury struck again in the 2015/16 season, but Wade made a fine return in the second half of the season with tries against Harlequins, Gloucester and Leicester and Sale. His six tries against Worcester at Sixways in April will certainly not be forgotten for a while.
Wade's rich vein of try-scoring continued in 2016/17 when he managed to notch up 19 tries in 29 appearances and equalled Dominic Chapman's record for the most tries scored by an individual in a Premiership season with 17.
Wade's tries also took him past Kenny Logan (79) as Wasps' all time leading try scorer at the age of just 25. His reward was a place in the Aviva Premiership Dream Team for 2016/17, alongside fellow Wasps Elliot Daly, Joe Launchbury and Jimmy Gopperth and being named Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for March.
Christian's additional representative honours include England Sevens, England U16, U18 and he was a key part of the England U20 side which won a Grand Slam Six Nations title and reached the final of the Junior World Cup, at which he finished joint top try scorer, alongside Charles Piutau.
