England select Wasps skipper to start against Wales

Joe Launchbury has retained his place in Eddie Jones' starting line-up for this weekend's second round of Nat West Six Nations action.

The Wasps lock moves within one cap of completing a half-century of international appearances when he lines up against Wales at Twickenham (4.45pm kick off).

England make two changes to the side that beat Italy 46-15 on Sunday in Rome.

Harlequins' Danny Care starts at scrum-half and in the process moves past 2003 Rugby World Cup winner Matt Dawson as his country's most-capped No.9.

Bath's Jonathan Joseph comes in for Ben Te’o (Worcester Warriors) at outside centre.

One personnel change in the 23 sees Saracens' Richard Wigglesworth join the bench as a replacement for the injured Ben Youngs.

England's head coach complemented Care on his achievement, and said his team is well set for the challenge provided by Wales, who comfortably beat Scotland in Cardiff last Saturday.

“Danny Care very much deserves the honour of being the most capped England scrum half and I am sure he’ll make the most of his opportunity on Saturday,” Jones said.

“The team is hugely excited about playing in front of 82,000 fans at Twickenham and we’ll be well prepared and ready to go out there and beat Wales on Saturday.

“We want to make sure our set piece is dominant, our defence is ferocious and that we are at our best this weekend."
